Those Who Matter Don't Mind

Baruch   I am so grateful to be able to have freedom of speech in the country. To be able to express what I feel without consequence. However, those who don't appreciate who I am and what I say do not matter.  Why should we associate with those who shoot us down and don't respect us for who we are? We don't need people who tell us who to be or what to say. Those who actually care about us want to hear what we have to say and are going to be there for us no matter what. These are the kinds of people we truly need in our lives. If we feel like we have to pretend to be someone we are not then why hang around people like that? The Truth About Trust

"Trust is the easiest thing in the world to lose, and the hardest thing in the world to get back." ~R. Williams This quote is so true. Some people walk a very thin line when it comes to trust. Trust is a very hard and complicated thing. Trust can lead to good things. So many good things. Freedom. Rewards. Privileges. But as soon as you mess that up... all of those things are gone in an instant. It can take a long time to get things like that back.    Trust is something you have to work at. You have to constantly make decisions that prove you are trustworthy. Sometimes that can be hard to do. I have found that the worst trust to lose of anyone is my parents. I do not like to disappoint them, especially when it comes to trust. Sometimes I feel like trust can be a risk. You risk losing trust with someone. Friends Are The Best

 "A good friend is like a four-leaf clover; hard to find and lucky to have." ~Irish Proverb  I was so fortunate to find some friends this year. I am a freshman in high school and as you well know it is extremely hard to make friends online. There's no social interaction at all. None. So, I got very lucky when I happened to have the same class with two old friends. What made this even better was my teacher gave us a group project. At the end of the project, I had a group of friends to hang out with. That was much more than I had ever asked for. I have come to like friend groups a whole lot because of this experience.   I am so grateful for my friends, for the experiences we have had, and for the memories we have made. It has been something I have really treasured this year. Thank you, Callie, Natalie, and Dawson for making my freshman year awesome!!! Feelings Matter

I came across a quote one day that hit me really hard. I couldn't help but agree with it.  "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." ~Maya A. What a powerful statement!!! I have seen this quote in my life many times. I knew a girl in Elementary school who wasn't nice to me. I remember very little of what she did or what she said to me. However, I do remember how she made me feel and that did not feel great at all. Any time we mention her today, I still remember that I don't like the way she treated me.   Many of us have or will be made fun of, or bullied in our lives. These things will stick with us for the rest of our days. Hopefully, we can all learn from these experiences and it is my hope that no one comes away from this entirely broken.  No one likes to be ignored, but sometimes time away from someone can do that.
