The Best Is Yet To Come

"Always remember that your present situation is not your final destination. The best is yet to come." ~Zig Zigler I have found that sometimes we tend to forget that moments will fade and things will change. Like the embarrassment we just faced. Sometimes we can only feel the embarrassment and the torture of facing how people will view us now. However, the greater truth is that things will change. People will move on from the embarrassing scene as long as you aren't there to remind them.  It's strange how only a few months ago I had very different worries than what I do now. Moving has changed all of that. However, the things that are important to me now, at this moment, won't be five months from now or maybe even next month since my classes at school will be different.  I sometimes get caught up in what's happening right now and how that one small thing will affect the future when in reality it may not have as much of an effect as I originally thought. There h...

Life is Like A Book

"Life is like a book. Some chapters are sad, some are happy and some are exciting, but if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter has in store for you." ~Unknown  As we near our move to Fayetteville, my chapter in Clayton comes to a close. I don't have much to say except I wish I could stay. Sometimes it can be really hard to move on, especially if you like what life has set up for you.  I have made so many memories here, good and bad. I know I will make memories wherever I go. The memories we make in life eventually, if not already, become some of the most precious things we have. There are many memories I hope not to forget.  I am excited somewhat about Fayetteville. I'll get to make some new friends, and go to a new school. Believe it or not, I do like unpacking. It's fun to organize things. I'm excited for the rest of the Summer and the fun things I will be able to do.   I will never forget Clayton and how it has shaped me into t...

Expect Sad To Happen

"Sad things happen. They do. But we don't need to live sad forever." ~Mattie Stepanek Just like the quote says, sad things happen. But we can't be sad forever. What life would that be? Please find a way to be happy.  I am moving to Fayetteville. It is not a happy thing, at least not for me, however, I know I cannot be sad about it forever. In fact, at some point, I will actually have to move there meaning I will have to accept it.  I feel like if I hold on to the happy things, then when sad things happen I can remind myself of the good times. Maybe then the situation will seem less sad.  This life isn't easy but I promise that we can find joy even in the hard times. Don't give up. Sadness will not last forever.  Associated Song: Say Something by A Great Big World Is there anything sad in your life that later on blessed you?

The People Who Change Things

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward." ~Rob Siltanen   I really can't argue with this statement. History has proven this quote true.  -People thought Susan B. Anthony was crazy for fighting for Women's rights.  -The Sons of Liberty rebelled against the British government.  -Joseph Smith felt like a misfit but brought upon a church destined to never fall again.  -Rosa Parks caused trouble by not giving up her seat.  All of these people helped change things and they pushed the human race forward. How grateful I am to them and what they did. They opened doors that didn't appear to be there and broke down walls that seemed too hard to push over. The world would not be the same without them.  Who else has changed the world for the better?
