Just Have Hope

 "I have to remember it is not love that has hurt me; but someone who could not love me in the right way." ~R. YS Perez I really like this quote a lot. I feel like in books and TV shows, sometimes in real life, people claim they are done with love because they have been hurt. They don't want to risk getting their heart broken again because love has hurt them. But it is really love that broke your heart or the person you fell for? It can be tempting to give up on love. To just say it's not worth it. Love has failed me. Love hasn't failed you. Love will always exist. It creeps in on us and suddenly we find the person across the room has caught our eye. The question is not does love occur but does love last? And that has everything to do with the person we fall in love with.  I want to define what I believe this quote means by "love me in the right way."  -This means that the circumstances are allowing a relationship.  -The relationship is healthy, balanced...

 "Sad things happen. They do. But we don't need to live sad forever." ~Mattie Stepanek Just like the quote says, sad things happen. But we can't be sad forever. What life would that be? Please find a way to be happy.  I am moving to Fayetteville. It is not a happy thing, at least not for me, however, I know I cannot be sad about it forever. In fact, at some point, I will actually have to move there meaning I will have to accept it.  I feel like if I hold on to the happy things, then when sad things happen I can remind myself of the good times. Maybe then the situation will seem less sad.  This life isn't easy but I promise that we can find joy even in the hard times. Don't give up. I have a quote in my room that sits on my bookshelf.  "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." ~Dr. Seuss  I think this quote has a really good point. I think sometimes it can be hard to be happy when something is over, for example, you are at a really fun event and now it's time to leave. As my Dad says "All good things must come to an end."    I have had lots of experiences with this. For example, I have had many family members I haven't seen in a long time come to visit and then we reach the point where they have to leave or we have to go home. That has always been hard.  Another important point to mention is that even though a fun experience is over, there will be other fun experiences in the future. We just have to remember that they won't happen right away. If day-to-day life doesn't seem worthwhile, find something to look forward to each day and that will make life all the more meaningful.  I hope all of us will always...
